About Us

We are the local Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO). We are run by and for Deaf and Disabled people and carers in Bromley and neighbouring Boroughs.

We were set up by Disabled people in 2012 and became a Charity in 2022.

All our work is informed by lived experience of barriers that Deaf and Disabled people face, which we use to create more inclusive and accessible communities in Bromley and beyond.

We do this by:

  • Enabling Deaf and Disabled people to have a voice in shaping local services.
  • Promoting Deaf and Disabled people’s rights.
  • Creating peer-led spaces for Deaf and Disabled people to share their experiences.
  • Developing the skills and confidence of Deaf and Disabled people.
